  • The 7 Spirit of God
  • The 12 Stars
  • The Word of God
  • The Colours

Each of this Is Explained Below:

The Ark of God symbolises the Presence of God and The Holy Spirit in The Life of The Believer.

  • Exodus 25:10-22 – “Have them make an ark of acacia wood—two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high. 11 Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it. 12 Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other. 13 Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 14 Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry it. 15 The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed. 16 Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you. 17 “Make an atonement cover of pure gold—two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. 18 And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. 19 Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. 20 The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover. 21 Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you. 22 There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.

What Was the Ark of the Covenant?

In Exodus 25:10, the Lord told Moses to instruct the Israelites to build an ark. The Message translation identifies this creation as a chest. The chest was to be made of acacia wood measuring “two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.” Today, a cubit is equal to about 18 inches. The Ark was highly adorned, gold plated in and out, with a golden band around the outside. It held four gold rings on the bottom, each with a gold-plated rod inside used to carry the Ark. It also had a golden lid with two wide-winged angels facing one another. The Lord said he would come to speak to the people between the placements of the two cherubim.

The Ark of the Covenant held three important items. The first contents were the tablets with the 10 Commandments the Lord gave to Moses. Secondly, the chest held a jar of manna as a sign of remembrance when the Lord provided bread in the wilderness after the Israelites escaped Egypt. Lastly, in Numbers 17, we find the miracle of Aaron’s budding rod, confirming his divine priesthood. His rod was placed in the front of the Ark.

What Was the Meaning of the Ark?

Before Jesus died on the cross, the Holy Spirit didn’t come into the hearts of believers. Today Christians are continuously in the presence of God and can call on him anytime. The Israelites didn’t have that luxury. The Ark of the Covenant represented God’s presence.

  • Revelation 11:19 – ‘And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail’.
  • Revelation 21:3 – ‘And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God’.

The first time we see the word lampstand in the Bible is in Exodus 25:31, as God gives detailed instructions about the golden lampstand to be placed in the tabernacle the Israelites were building. It’s interesting to note just how precise God is in explaining how He wanted the lampstand to look. Since we can be assured there are no “wasted words” in the Bible, we know each detail and specification are important for some reason.

The lampstand was to be made of pure gold, hammered out to the perfect accuracy of God’s decree (Exodus 25:31). Gold was the most valuable of all metals (Psalm 119:127; 19:10). Gold is often spoken of in terms of being “tested by fire”; the Bible compares the testing of gold with the testing of the church in 1 Peter 1:7. Out of testing, or refining, will come the true people of God (see Zechariah 13:7–9; Job 23:10). Those who withstand the “fire” will be purified (see Numbers 31:23).

The lampstand as a whole was to be fashioned as a tree with the base and centre shaft representing the trunk and with three “branches” on each side. The top of the shaft and of each branch was to be made like an open almond flower; each flower held an oil lamp (Exodus 25:32, 37). There are several passages in the Bible that speak about the almond tree, which was always the first tree to blossom and bear fruit in the spring, as early as February. The apostle Paul calls Christ the “first fruits” because Jesus was the first to rise from the dead to everlasting life, and because of His resurrection all believers will also be raised (1 Corinthians 15:20–23; Romans 8:23).

God used Aaron’s rod as a sign to the Israelites of his unique priesthood. At one time, when Aaron’s priesthood was being challenged, God caused Aaron’s rod to bud and grow ripe almonds overnight; this miracle reaffirmed that the privilege of being chosen as High Priest only came through God’s appointment (Numbers 16:3;17:10). This was a “shadow of things to come” experience that pointed to Jesus, our God-ordained, life-giving High Priest forever (Hebrews 7:21).

In the tabernacle, the lampstand was to be placed in the first section, called the Holy Place (Hebrews 9:2). The lamp was to be tended by Aaron and his sons so that its light never went out. The lampstand was to give forth light day and night (Exodus 27:20–21). The lampstand’s being the only source of light points directly to Christ as being the light of the world (John 8:12; 9:5). Jesus is the “true light that gives light to everyone” (John 1:9) and the only way anyone can come to the Father (John 14:6).

Jesus also calls His church the “light of the world” (Matthew 5:14), not of their own doing but because Christ is abiding in the church (John 1:4–5). A Christian who is shining with the light of Christ will live a godly life (1 Peter 2:9). Scripture is overflowing with references that compare and contrast light and darkness, believer and unbeliever, right up through the book of Revelation. In Revelation 1:20 Christ says the “seven lampstands are the seven churches.” The churches of Christ are to walk in the light of God (1 John 1:7) and spread the light of the gospel so that all people will glorify God (Matthew 5:16). We Believers Are the Living Churches on Earth.

There is other symbolism in the lampstand: it was made of one piece, as Christ is one with His church (Colossians 1:8); the six branches (6 being the number of man) plus the main shaft equals seven lights (7 being the number of completion)—man is only complete in Christ (John 15:5).

The most important thing to note about the lampstand is that it points to Christ, as do all the elements of the tabernacle. The Bible is from beginning to end a testimony about Christ and God’s merciful plan of redemption. Praise the Lord, He has taken His children out of the darkness and into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9).

The seven Spirits of God refer to seven independent manifestations of the Holy Spirit. The 7 Spirits of God are the perfect completeness of the Holy Spirit. According to Isaiah 11:2, They are: (1) the spirit of the LORD (2) the spirit of wisdom (3) the spirit of understanding (4) the spirit of counsel (5) the spirit of power (6) the spirit of knowledge (7) the fear of the LORD.

  • Isaiah 11:2 – ‘And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD’.
  • Revelation 1:4 – ‘John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne
  • Revelation 3:1 – ‘And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write, These things says He that has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars
  • Revelation 4:5 – ‘And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thundering and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God
  • Revelation 5:6 – ‘And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth

The twelve stars above her head apply to both the twelve patriarchs of the tribes of Israel (original people of God), and the twelve apostles (renewed people of God).

  • Genesis 37:9-11 – ‘And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. 10 – And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, what is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? 11 – And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.
  • Revelation 12:1-2 – ‘And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 – And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

In Revelation 12, the woman represents the true church. Since she is portrayed as about to give birth to Christ (v. 2, 4, 5) and later as being mistreated and oppressed. Following the ascension of Christ (vs. 5, 13–17), she represents the church of both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

The 12 stars that serve as a crown (Matthew 27:29; Revelation 2:10) represent either the 12 patriarchs or the 12 apostles or to both. Since the focus in Revelation 12 is on the New Testament church, the emphasis of the 12 stars is without a doubt on the 12 apostles.

At the same time, the symbol of the 12 tribes is also carried over into the New Testament church. “And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed” (Revelation 7:4). Therefore, the 12 stars represent the spiritual leaders of God’s people and their followers. These 12 stars and the believers are filled by the Holy Spirit and are anointed to do God’s work…

  • (Matthew 28:19-20). Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 – Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
  • Psalm 89:19-29 – ‘Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. 20 – I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: 21 – With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. 22 – The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. 23 – And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him. 24 – But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted. 25 – I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. 26 – He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. 27 – Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. 28 – My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. 29 – His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
  • Matthew 5:13-16 – ‘Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 – Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 – Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
  • Matthew 7:13-14 – ‘Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 – Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
  • John 3:16 – ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life’.
  • John 5:24 – ‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life’.
  • Galatians 6:8 – ‘For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting’.
  • John 17:3 – ‘And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent’.

  • Ephesians 1:13-14 – ‘In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 – Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
  • 1 John 2:17 – ‘And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever’.
  • Acts 17:28 – ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
  • John 15:16 – ‘You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you’.
  • Revelation 3:5-9 – ‘The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. 6 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. 7 “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you’.

Three (3) colours were used in the logo which are white, light Blue and Gold.

White represents righteousness, purity, and the light of God (Daniel 7:9). The colour white is without stain, similar to repentance. Through the righteousness of Christ, we can be washed clean through God.

  • Isaiah 1:18 – “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
  • Revelation 19:11 – ‘White is also used to depict God’s complete victory over the powers of evil’.
  • 1 Peter 1:15-16 – ‘But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 – Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy.

The Light Blue is all About the Heaven, the Holy Spirit and authority. Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, and intelligence

The Blue represents heaven (Exodus 24:10) and the healing power of God. In the story of Christ healing the woman who had an issue of blood for 12 years, the colour of the hem was blue (Luke 8:40-48). Blue is also the colour of the sky – a constant reminder of the heavenly realm, and it also is found to mean purple (Ezekiel 23:6). Besides heaven, the colour blue indicates the Holy Spirit and truth.

Gold is well-known as a precious metal, high-valuable and sought-after. There’s an obvious connection to God’s love, which is also highly precious, valuable, and sought-after (John 3:16). Jesus Christ is precious, as are His promises (1 Peter 2:7).

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.” — 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 Listen to chapter . Powered by BibleGateway.com.
